Amsterdam, my hometown. Though I really love living in Ticino, Switzerland, I do miss having the variety of a big(ger) city. A big zoo, kids friendly cafes, a library with kids books in your own language, museum and theater activities for kids. Continue reading “Family Fun In The Dam – Amsterdam (NL)”
Though the Italian part of Switzerland is really child friendly in nature, finding a place where you can entertain the kids before and after lunch or dinner is not always easy. We pulled a few suggestions together, kindly suggested by readers of our facebook page family Discovers – ticino edition Continue reading “Child Friendly Restaurants – Ticino (CH)”

The thermometer reached 25 degrees for the first time this year last Tuesday and instead of spending the time playing at the local park, we decided to re-visit a tiny village we discovered two years ago when friends took us on a family friendly walk in the area: Braggio. This small village (57 permanent inhabitants) can basically only be reached by a little cable car, that you have to operate yourself! Continue reading “Organic Farm – Braggio, Graubünden (CH)”
A small culture injection never hurt anyone, so I decided to take my 3 year old to a short theater show in Stabio, at the Aula of the Scuola Media, organized by Maribur.ch.
End of March we took our 3yo old to the Falconeria in Locarno. I was never really interested to go and check it out; I just couldn’t imagine it was interesting to watch birds fly. I had heard good things about the place though Continue reading “Falconeria – Locarno, Ticino (CH)”
